Mojo Rising

Joel, aka Mojo Rising, considers music to be an essential expression of the human condition. His earliest memories include listening to classical works on the family record player, while pretending to be a conductor. Grade school presented Joel the opportunity to play symphonic and jazz winds. Music production became an enduring aspiration after being introduced to MIDI, sampling, and synthesis. As a veteran DJ of the Los Angeles electronic music scene, Mojo performed prolifically throughout the 90s before taking a hiatus from live gigs to further his education. Armed with a degree in Computer Science and a minor in Recording Arts, technology has become an important part of his musical journey.
