Jean Michel ́s Club-music debut was a highly innovative perspective of tech house in 1996, “Junior Disko Vol. I - IV”, which got widely hyped and supported as “Record of the month” by Frontpage and Groove Attack magazines. Collaborating the same year with Cheap member Umberto Gollini on their future electro definition as Defcon, their first EP went to be a local hit in Detroit and Chicago, blessed by the support of no-one else than Jeff Mills himself. Until 1998 Jean Michel was djing, producing and performing live alongside Artists like Jeff Mills, Patrick Pulsinger, Dennis Ferrer, Baby Ford, DJ Hell, Autechre, Le Car, Richard Dorfmeister and many more. In 2010 Jean Michel wrote and produced a 70s soul-funk disco album for Louie Austen with Remixes by Frittenbude, Christopher Just, Martini Brös,
