Same. is the latest project from Sam Shinkle, a Dance music producer and multi-instrumentalist who began his musical journey as a child in his home state of New Jersey, playing in several local bands. As a teenager he rooted himself in Lake Tahoe where he became inspired by electronic production and began performing in the local bass community under the moniker ‘OGS’. Following further inspiration from the likes of CharlesTheFirst, Jon Hopkins, G Jones, salute, and Disclosure, he departed the Tahoe area for Los Angeles to produce his upcoming album ‘Friendly Voices’, a predominantly dance driven project blending visceral resonance, driving melodic leads, and ethereal soundscapes. ‘Friendly Voices’ encapsulates the struggle and triumph of drastic relocation, and the gratifying moments along the way.
