Deeplosax discovered his passion for music as a child. When Deeplosax's older sister got a keyboard at the age of 12, he felt more attracted to it than she cared. Then he started learning to play the keyboard. Deeplosax's classmate and best friend's guitar had the same effect on him, and Deeplosax was able to play a few chords that sounded good on it without ever having guitar lessons. It probably runs in the family. A great uncle of Deeplosax was a jazz guitarist and taught himself everything by himself.
