Gabriel Montufar aka DJ Monti

Born in Quito, Ecuador, Gabriel Montufar entered the world of music at a young age. His passion towards electronic music mainly began from his love for music and computers, which eventually brought him to study in Berklee College of Music where he graduated as a Recording/Mixing Engineer and a Sound Designer in 2004. Soon after he was back in Ecuador working at IMC (Instituto de Musica Contemporanea; a Berklee International Network school) in the music production and engineering area, and also delved into the professional music production world. In 2006 he released his first record in Ecuador, "Voices Within," one of the few releases of EDM at the time, which made an impact toward the growing electronic crowd.
