Kéwork

Kéwork, named after Saint George the Dragon Slayer and the Armenian freedom fighter Kevork Chavush, is forging an uprising of his own, using his e-music Bachelor’s degree from Inholland Haarlem Conservatory and a decade of private piano lessons as his weapons. In his teenage years, young Kéwork started recording original music, combining synthesizers with his own vocals and lyrics to create unique sounds and resonating messages. He grew up on a sonic cocktail of Pop, R&B, Soul, Electronic and Hip-Hop, which have all left traces in his compositions, alongside Middle Eastern and gospel influences. Seeking to bridge the past and the future, Kéwork combines organic sounds, such as live brass and piano, with electronics to create dynamics that veer between high-energy and intimate, personal passages.
