Mama Gaia

Ylva Ek aka "Mama Gaia'' has been DJing at parties, clubs and festivals around the world since 2005. She is one of the founders of the Stockholm based psytrance organizer "UnderBraVidunder / UBV'', the one day festival "Stockholm Hippie Market" and has been awarded "Best Female Underground DJ - 2011 " and "Female Trance DJ of the Year - 2016" in the Swedish underground award ceremony “Elly Awards”. Her music style spans across the progressive psytrance spectrum from bright and sunny off beat to dark and violent rolling baselines, always with the sun and moon as a guide for the tempo and feeling. She is since 2020 part of the roster at Beta Music, a booking agency run by Shahar Shtrikman (Static Movement). In 2021 she released her first track "Alive" on Spin Twist
