Born and raised in Boston, Ma. Jason Donnaruma (aka monktec) discovered electronic music in his early twenties. After strictly DJing for a few years, he took the next logical step by beginning to produce his own music . Monktec focused his attention on percussive programming, dubby basslines, and dark atmospheres. By expressing a tireless work ethic in the studio Monktec was noticed by several labels that he remixed for and also made a few original productions. 2011 was an amazing year and 2012 is looking great already.
