Influenced by many genres, with hip-hop as mainstay, Adraxx is a Ghanaian artist who prides himself on a dogged belief in purpose. Drawing on a wildly eclectic musical taste, he crafts pieces that lean on lyrical weight and melodic ambition, defining his art as one that places emphasis on word engineering, and exploring the nuances of reality. Blending influences from different worlds, old and new, he counts J. Cole, Eminem, Passenger, Sufjan Stevens, Juls, Manny Marroquin, and Fleetwood Mac amongst a host of others, as major influences; influences spanning production, songwriting and engineering, the many different hats he wears. “MCMXCIII”, an early gritty showcase was followed by 2021’s contrasting laid back three-track effort, “A Man Like Me”, both offering a brief introductory exposition of his artistry, with foundations being built
