Originally from Wirral, Merseyside, soJO. has spent the last 4 years exploring directions of continental influence. Experimenting with African based tribal sounds - right the way across to South America, fusing traditional Cuban Bembe, Brazilian carnival and rich Batucada with a subtle nod to classic Euro dance and Berlin industrial techno. All in a “melodic ‘drummy’ soup of whatever ya want to call it lad”. With releases on Black Bore, See the Sea, INU MUSIKA and at the end of 2021 on T78s Autektone, he doesn’t shy away from variation.
