Autokinetic

In the Summer of 1993, Autokinetic was formed by Mike McClure and John Golden. At the time, the Minneapolis underground techno music scene was thriving with the likes of Freddy Fresh, Woody McBride and other influential musicians, This "midwest" sound defined Autokinetic's early work and is still foundational in all of its music. In late 1993, Freddy Fresh and Autokinetic created the Electric Music Foundation record label as a means to release midwest acid and techno on vinyl. Over the next several years, the Autokinetic sound has evolved from a harsh, fast-paced, frantic approach to a more melodic, thoughtful and deep style.
