GYZEN is the sound of Gijs-Jan Witkamp, born in Tilburg and deeply rooted in the Dutch electronic music scene. He began his journey in 2005 as a deejay in Utrecht and Amsterdam, where the vibrant underground culture drew him into the world of music production. Between 2007 and 2012 he released tracks under various aliases, experimenting with sound and identity while playing intimate clubs and late-night sessions. After a long creative pause to explore other ventures, GYZEN returned to music. Not for the spotlight, but for the sound. For the past eight years, he’s been working behind the scenes: investing, producing and collaborating with gifted songwriters, producers, and musicians.
